Tour Description
Leaving Sydney behind we head up the coast to Barrington
Tops. Our unique country retreat offers optional river
kayaking & mountain biking. Maybe try surfing or hang
gliding in the
alternative lifestyle capital of Byron Bay, on your way
up to Queensland.
Continuing north
along the coast to Scarborough well pick up our
4WD vehicle for our 2 day tour of Moreton Island where
the worlds highest sand dunes await you. With miles
of deserted white beaches and inland forests dotted with
crystal clear lakes, this is the highlight of the trip
for many. Well hike some of the trails, visit the
Tangalooma Wrecks and maybe view dolphins, fish or pods
of whales in season. You can also explore the shipwrecks
and swim in the Blue Lagoon a naturally formed
perched lake. As good as Fraser Island without
the crowds.
Briefly leave the coast for a 2-night
stay on our secluded cattle station. Jump on a horse or
motorbike and help with the daily fun on this 2,600 acre
working cattle property. Home cooked meals
and real family hospitality are just some of the attractions
of this outback station.
Sun, sails, sand and fun await you as
we leave the bush and cruise out to Great Keppel Island,
the largest of the 18 Keppel islands., for another two
night stay. The island is ringed by white sandy beaches
and clear blue sea, making it ideal for sunbathing and
water sports. Inland you can do a number of hikes in the
woodlands of the interior. You can also snorkel at Monkey
Beach or explore the nearby sand dunes.
We keep heading north to Airlie Beach
where we join our 20 metre yacht for our two day &
two night sailing cruise through the Whitsunday group
of islands. One of the highlights of any East Coast adventure,
you'll live aboard the yacht and cruise between these
paradise islands, mooring to explore or snorkel the reef.
One of the highlights of this cruise is Whitsunday Island,
which is home to Whitehaven Beach - one of the most beautiful
beaches in the world. You'll also have plenty of time
to gaze into the turquoise waters, sunbathe on the deck
and spot turtles or dolphins following the yacht. Everything
is supplied on this unique Australian sailing adventure.
Next spend two magical nights at a resort
in Mission Beach. The days are free for you to try some
of the amazing range of activities on offer on Australia's
East Coast. Here we'll give you the chance to try white
water rafting on the Tully River, tandem sky diving over
the beach, sea kayaking, rainforest hiking or cassowary
and crocodile spotting! After all these adrenaline rushes
you'll appreciate the chance to relax on the pretty beaches
to work on your tan or take a boat over to Dunk Island
for some great hikes.
Yes there is still more to do! Head north
again through Cairns and the Daintree Forest area to Cape
Tribulation. We overnight in a unique rainforest lodge
and start your next day with an exhilarating three hour
sunrise sea kayaking trip complete with breakfast. Then
explore the many rainforest hikes around the Mossman Gorge
before heading back to Cairns
Our last day see us all aboard the Passions
of Paradise catamaran for a full day tour to the Outer
Barrier Reef. Go scuba diving (no experience needed) or
snorkel among the colourful coral. There's plenty of time
to see the vast array of marine life including fish, stingrays,
blue starfish, and multi- coloured coral and heaps more.
This is the longest day trip available to the reef and
a great way to finish this fantactic journey.
