Unless otherwise indicated in the trip details everyone, including the tour leader, will be required to pay AUD$10 or NZD$10 a day as part of a food kitty contribution. All supplies, excluding alcohol and soft drinks, are purchased from this kitty. Everyone shares in the purchase, preparation and cooking of meals to help keep the cost down and we buy fresh food as we travel to satisfy the international tastes of the group. The food kitty covers three meals on most days but does not cover the group when we decide to take in the local tucker (food) at restaurants along the way. All money left in the kitty at the end of the trip is returned to you. We believe there is no way to eat better and healthier on such a budget. On some of our more isolated tours, the majority
