Does OzXposure have age restrictions
Due to the nature of these tours, they tend to incorporate activities and nightlife that appeal to the young and young at heart. Naturally people of different ages and backgrounds have different interests, so a spirit of adventure and flexibility are essential.

What's included in the price for an OzXposure tour
1) Services of a professionally tour leader.
2) Transportation in comfortable air-conditioned minibuses, 4WD vehicles and small coaches.
3) OzXposure provides all necessary camping equipment including tents, cold food storage containers, camp lights, stoves and other camp accessories (except sleeping bag).
4) All accommodation unless otherwise indicated in the itinerary.
5) Specially selected activities as per itinerary.
6) Most meals whilst on tour.

What to bring with you on an OzXposure tour
If your tour includes camping nights you will need to bring a sleeping bag - a 3-4 season bag is recommended. For your added comfort you could bring a sleeping mat.
In Northern Queensland and around Darwin the weather can be very humid in the wet summer season (October - April) so we recommend you bring a sheet sleeping bag as well as your three season sleeping bag, with plenty of insect repellent and sun lotion.
Prior to your departure, we will e-mail you a copy of our "Trek Tips" document which will provide you a list of suggested items you may want to bring on your tour. Of course an enthusiastic, fun loving attitude is always welcome! For more information see our Pre-Tour Info section.

What facilities will be available on an OzXposure tour
Campgrounds situated in stunning natural settings give our groups opportunities not found by conventional tourists. Although they may vary significantly in terms of quality and service most national park campgrounds have basic facilities including, pay showers and flush toilets. Where we choose to stay in more isolated areas or bush camps (indicated by BC in the itinerary) the surroundings will quickly make you forget any lack of facilities. On some of our more adventurous tours we enjoy the unique experience of sleeping outdoors in swags, (a mattress and sleeping bag enclosed in a canvas bag). Camping with OzXposure is easy and fun... you'll love it!

Fitness on OzXposure tours
Although our vehicles do most of the work, a certain amount of fitness is required to hike into the spectacular gorges and other places of interest. Since fitness levels are hard to gauge, we ask only that you be active, healthy, and have a desire to be outdoors. We require you to notify us at the time of booking of any medical conditions that may affect you during the course of your tour.

How much money should I take on an OzXposure tour
On most of our tours we include many of the main activities in your trek price. We also give you the freedom to choose additional activities. Take advantage of great group discounts that we have negotiated for you.
Visa and MasterCard are accepted in most places and 'Automated Teller Machines' are widely available. Travellers Cheques can be hard to change and most banks charge a fee. If you do bring Travellers Cheques only bring AUD and NZ dollars as foreign exchange facilities are sometimes limited. Pre paid foreign currency cards are a really good option, we recommend Fairfax.com.

How much luggage can I take on an OzXposure tour
Our vehicles have limited space so please keep your luggage to a MAXIMUM OF 15 KGS (except KAKADU tours which are MAXIMUM 10KGS & ROAD TRIPS which are a maximum of 20KGS) in a backpack or soft overnight bag with a small day pack for easy access to camera, sun block etc. It is recommended to plan ahead and arrange to store bulky items at pre-tour accommodation. This is relevant also, when travelling on packages which include Kakadu, as all tours start from and return to Darwin. Any package touring totally within the Northern Territory which includes the Red Centre will start from and return to Alice Springs. It may be necessary to freight excess luggage at passenger's expense.

When do OzXposure trips begin and end
All OzXposure tours require you to reconfirm up to 48 hours before the start of your tour. At this time you will be able to confirm a pick-up point, this will vary depending on the tour you have booked. All trips leave in the morning, but times vary, so please check your voucher for more details.
For your convenience, we suggest that you spend the final evening in the tour end town. If you must leave that evening, we recommend that you book a flight departing no earlier than 9:00pm to allow for possible delays on tour.

Can OzXposure arrange flights
If you are in the United Kingdom we can provide a quote and book your flights for you. For a flight inclusive quote please call 020 8682 8921 OzXposure and TrekAmerica are a registered ATOL member authorised to sell flights as part of a package. If you are outside the UK we will be happy to recommend a travel agent in your area who can help you arrange transportation to your destination.

Do I need a visa to travel to Australia and/or New Zealand
UK passport holders require an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) for travel to Australia. For New Zealand no visa is required for stays under 6 months as long as you are holding a machine readable passport. Do I need travel insurance for an OzXposure tour
YES. Insurance is compulsory on all OzXposure tours. We recommend you take our policy which has been specially created to cover all activities on our tours. If you decide to arrange your own travel insurance please ensure your policy covers all Optional Activities you may wish to participate in.
