I just wanted to write a review for the Reef 'n Rock tour that I did in May / June '07 to let all of you know that it has been one of my best vacations ever! As of the first day you could really tell that something special was about to happen with amongst the trekkers, the trek-leader and our stuffed animal Fred.
Joe Brega, our trek-leader, made a comment when we where only 30 minutes out of Sydney that I still remember quite good" "Guys, take a good look at each other... these are your new best friends for life" - and I must say he's right!
This trek has something magical, it throws you around from adrenaline rush to adrenaline rush up the East-coast and let's you get back in touch with yourself in the outback - the nature is so beautifull that (at least for me) there are several moments where you get tears in your eyes. Eg. Enjoying the sunrise on top of Kings Canyon during the 7.2 Km hike over there.
I take a deep bow for Joe, he's a trek-leader in all his heart. Passionate about his country and willing to answer every question that you might have. He seems to be able to read people and give them room when they need it and get into a personal talk to help anyone that he can. Even with all the struggles that we had to go through, he was able to remain enthousiastic and motivating. If every trek-leader is only half as good as he is, all people who take a trek with "OzXposure" / "Let's Trek Australia" will have the best time ever.
